About the event
Young Producers Video Production Club
A hands-on introduction to video production for ages 13–17.
Young Producers is a four-week practical introduction to video production, designed to get young people behind the camera and making films from day one.
Using a smartphone, they'll explore the fundamentals of the production process — from developing an idea and planning shots to filming to editing their footage into a finished piece.
Each week is hands-on, with practical filming challenges that introduce skills including camera angles, composition, movement, lighting, sound, sequencing, storytelling and editing.
This isn't a social media or content creation course. It's an introduction to video production and filmmaking — giving young people the space to experiment with film as a creative medium, develop their own ideas and learn how moving images can be used to tell stories.
